Cheeseburger and Fries in One Dish

What’s better than forming individual beef patties, cooking in one dish! This cheeseburger casserole has all the goodness of a traditional burger and fries but saves on time and gets you prepped for the week or an easy dinner the whole family will love. 

The burger sauce brings the epic burger flavor to life. Dill lovers this one is especially for you! Don’t skimp on the sauce. Drizzle everything you whipped up right over top!

Everything you need:
  • 2 lb Ground Beef
  • 1,000g Sweet Potato
  • 100g White Onion
  • 60g Low Fat Shredded cheese
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

Burger Sauce

  • 150g 0% Fage greek yogurt
  • 10 g Yellow Mustard
  • 50 g Dill Pickles
  • 1tbs Dill pickle juice

Toppings

  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Dill Pickles

Cheeseburger Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 lb 93/7 Ground Beef
  • 1000 g Sweet Potato - raw chopped (2 extra large)
  • 100 g White Onion diced (1/4 large)
  • 60 g Low Fat Cheese
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Burger Sauce

  • 150 g 0% Fage Greek Yogurt 1 container
  • 10 g Yellow Mustard (2 tsp)
  • 50 g Dill Pickles diced (2 spears)
  • 1 tbsp Dill Pickle Juice

Toppings

  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Dill Pickles

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400*
  • Peel and chop sweet potatoes. Lightly coat with oil spray (I used avocado) and season with salt and pepper or Trader Joes Onion salt. Place in 9x13 baking dish and bake for 20-25 min or until potatoes have softened.
  • While potatoes are cooking, dice white onion, place in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add in beef, season and cook almost through.
  • When potatoes are softened, remove from the oven, make sure they are evenly spread and layer on beef.
  • Sprinkle cheese over top.
  • Reduce oven temp to 375* and return for 5-10 minutes to melt cheese and finish cooking potatoes and beef through.
  • While in the oven, whip together the burger sauce. Combine yogurt, pickles, juice and mustard.
  • When casserole is done, spread burger sauce over top. Use all of it!
  • Garnish with lettuce, tomato, and more pickles!
